MANILA – With March being National Women’s month, the countless contributions women have made are being honored. Locally, Pasig Art Club in partnership with The Art Gallery of Philippine Heart Center has devoted March to an exhibit called “Heartvest” that focuses on women in harvest.
“Heartvest” brings together 14 visual artists depicting their expressions and personal experiences of harvesting that each art work shines with different stories to tell. “Heartvest is to increase awareness of women’s role in the society, hence the portrayal of women by the artists which limelights the exhibit.” states Chiqui Eusebio- Ocinar, one of the exhibiting artists.
The cutting of ribbon was graced by the Philippine National Artist for Music, Dr. Ramon Santos; Mr. Ramon Orlina; Ms. Sylvia Amorsolo- Lazo; Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig President, Ms. April Amihan Alcazar; together with the Philippine Heart Center’s Archt Rogelio D. Caringal; Pasig Art Club’s Archt Ace Dimanlig and Mr. Manolo Lozada.
This group show is Pasig Art Club’s celebrated 13th year anniversary exhibit as well. “Heartvest” will be on display through Friday, April 10th. More information can be found at pasigartclub.weebly.com
