I will always come home to my favorite pasta dish ever! If you have seen my previous fresh basil pesto sauce recipes, now this one is creamy and super easy.
Creamy Basil Pesto Recipe
- Handful of fresh basil
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 cup of All-Purpose Cream
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and fresh cracked pepper
Pasta & Broccoli
- Cook half kilo whole wheat pasta until al dente
- Steam 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, no stems
Instructions for the sauce: Combine the basil and garlic in a food processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. In a pan, put olive oil and all-purpose cream. Let it simmer. Add puree basil and garlic. With a wooden spoon, stir the mixture until it slightly thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
In a serving plate, arrange cooked pasta and steamed broccoli. Pour in the creamy pesto sauce. You may add parmesan and chili flakes. Your dinner is now ready!
